Electrify Corvallis

Electrify Corvallis is a 501(c)3 nonprofit composed of local volunteers and community partners who began meeting in 2021.  Some of us have either built high-performance homes or completed energy retrofits of our existing homes.

Our mission is to continue educating ourselves and to share what we have learned with others who are interested in retrofitting their own homes.  Useful information for both homeowners and renters is available on our website or via handouts, webinars, and conversations at community events.  On our homepage, find a video overview of how to retrofit a home (“Electrify Your Home”) that will help people get started.

We produced an Expo at our county fairgrounds featuring an EV show and vendor exhibits of building products including some cutting-edge options such as:

  • Heat recovery ventilation systems to conserve energy and filter out smoke
  • Heat pump water heaters (SanCO2 split systems) using CO2 as refrigerant
  • Heat pumps for both heating and cooling homes and buildings
  • Supplies for building high performance homes (Small Planet Supply)
  • High performance windows designed by scientists (Alpen)
  • Rooftop PV and Community Solar options

At the Expo, a local builder of high-performance homes (G. Christianson Construction) gave an informative talk “How to Retrofit a Home” that was recorded and edited into an introductory video for homeowners.
