Electrify Lincoln County is just starting its activities with outreach and education.   

Linda Perrine of Electrify Lincoln County gave a presentation on the Inflation Reduction Act to ~25 residents of Newport on 2/23/24 at the Newport Library. Attendees were enthusiastic and asking questions even before the talk began!  She covered the IRA Tax Credits for electric cars, home electrification and residential solar. She covered what details are known to date on the IRA rebates that will be administered by the Oregon Dept. of Energy in the second half of 2024. ODOE is still working out details of how this money will be distributed to Oregonians, that could include rebates at the time of sale for a heat pump, induction stove, etc., or may require submitting a contractor quote and getting a check in the mail prior to installation.
